Crychan Forest (24 miles)
Follow the same directions as the Irfon Foerst route. From the centre head south west down the main road and turn immediately right following the signs to Abergwesyn.
After 1.5km, fork right on to a steep climb. Keep left at Kilsby and then fork right twice - this leads into Irfon Forest.
Keep straight ahead on a narrow track and fork left at crossroads.
Stay on this for 1.9km to a bridleway on the left. Descend steeply, go straight across a forest track and continue to a gate at the edge of the wood.
The bridleway drops down the left of a house and then swings right through a yard.
Continue over the bridge and turn left. Follow the road to a junction by a chapel and turn right then immediately left.
Follow this up into the forest and then continue along a grassy section to the road.
Cross the road onto a tarmac bridleway then climb steeply past Byn Hynog.
At the fork turn left. As the track disappears follow the right hand side of the fence to a gate.
Go straight on into the forest and fork right to the first forest track. Follow this to a T-junction and turn right.
Follow the road for 350m then turn left onto a forest track, follow this until you reach a gate to the right, fork right onto the path and follow it to the top of the wood.
Keep on going then take a sharp left and follow the steep descent to the crossroads at the bottom.
Straight across until you come to a T-junction then turn right, and right again.
Start climbing then take the first left until you reach a crossroad then turn left again, follow this for 500m and then turn left.
Keep on this track until you reach the farm buildings go straight on past the large barn then right through a gate.
Keep on the track that runs through the field until you come to a road, turn right and then 150m on turn left onto a track opposite the chapel.
Follow the track to some more farm buildings and then start climbing.
Continue up until you reach a junction with a forest track, straight on up the track until you reach a large junction.
Continue straight across until you reach another junction, turn right and then descend to the next junction then turn left and immediately right onto a narrow bridleway.
Follow the edge of the forest until you reach the A483 then turn right and follow the road back to Llanwrtyd.
