Snowdon (9 miles)
Follow the signs for the A483 into North Wales and head west towards Caernarfon and Betwys y Coed Llanberis is in between.
You will need to park near the mountain railway station.
From the station head back up the main road and you will see a narrow road called the Llanberis path leading off to the right.
I recommend that you warm up for a while first though because you start to climb almost immediately.
Climb up until you reach a gate at the top and follow the prominent rocky path up.
This is a kneebreaking climb so I would take a few minutes to enjoy the view.
You can't really go wrong getting to the top.
When you reach the railway bridge, turn right and head up the last stretch to the summit.
Over to your left as you near the top you should be able to see over the Devils Kitchen.
When you eventually reach the trig point, you will be at 3650ft.
Now take some time out before your descent and be sure to check everythings in working order.
You are about to embark on the maddest 4.5 mile unforgiving downhill that will swallow you up with the smallest of errors!
Basically turn around and go back exactly the way you came up.
If you wait for the train to leave, set off at the same time and see who gets back first.
NOTE: There are strict guidelines for cycling on Snowdon.
